Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team on a fully remote, 6-12 month contract basis. As a member of our SRE team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the SRE team to develop and implement best practices for infrastructure automation and management
- Utilize Terraform and Boto3 to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS resources
- Work with AWS Control Tower to maintain and enhance our client's cloud infrastructure
- Configure and optimize an AWS Landing Zone for our client, ensuring efficient resource allocation and security controls
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues, ensuring smooth communication between different components of our systems
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation, monitoring, and alerting purposes
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and services
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to site reliability engineering and cloud infrastructure management
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Terraform and Boto3 for infrastructure automation and management
- Strong knowledge of AWS Control Tower and proven experience setting up an AWS Landing Zone
- Proficiency in networking principles, protocols, and troubleshooting
- Excellent scripting skills, with experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures, microservices, and containerization
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
