Technical Readiness Lead (Senior Programme Manager)

About the Role
A leading professional services organisation is embarking on a strategic programme to transform multiple back-office departments for one of its clients. As part of this programme, a comprehensive technical solution will be implemented alongside a newly deployed ERP platform. The solution will include a multi-channel contact centre, inbound and outbound correspondence services, a data warehouse for performance insight, and emerging automation and AI capabilities.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Readiness Lead to act as the senior technical lead on the programme. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of all technical aspects, ensuring high-quality solution design, requirements traceability, and seamless integration across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of a complex, multi-phase implementation programme.
- Provide oversight and leadership for internal and external delivery partners, ensuring agreed ways of working and contractual requirements are met.
- Define solution requirements, oversee high-level and detailed designs, and lead technical configuration, development, testing, and cutover activities.
- Ensure smooth transition to business-as-usual (BAU) operations, including hyper care post-go-live.
- Lead technical change for subsequent service transitions beyond the initial implementation.
- Oversee quality assurance, security compliance, and risk remediation.
- Line manage a team of technical leads, each responsible for their own internal and external teams.
- Present complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders to secure buy-in.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in delivering complex, integrated technical solutions through large-scale, multi-party programmes.
- Extensive experience managing global technical implementation partners across multiple time zones.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills in technical contexts.
- Experience advising clients and delivery partners on technical implementation best practice.
- Experience leading Design Authority forums and securing cross-party agreement on technical designs.
- Strong technical team leadership skills, including testing, cutover, environment, and hyper care strategy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work remotely with UK-wide travel as required.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience implementing Oracle Fusion ERP solutions.
- Experience supporting phased transfers of services between providers.
- Experience implementing contact centre solutions in a shared service environment.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, including AI, to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
