A global leading Commodities Buy-Side firm is rapidly growing globally and building out its Hesse-based Java team. They are seeking a Java specialist to come and work closely with the portfolio managers, traders, and quants focussing on building systems for their main power trading desk, which will underpin their unique power trading models.

Tasks

Ideally, the successful applicant will have strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and DevOps. Experience with Databases and cloud computing (AWS) would be handy. This role will require a strong technologist to work in a demanding and rewarding environment on a unique energy trading platform, which will use the most efficient trading models.

Profile

• Enthusiastic Java developer with true microservice experience, working closely with API's, Docker, Kubernetes, an array of databases and CI/CD pipelines.
• Taking pride in making maintainable and clean code that is up to our standard
• An attitude to constant learning and progressing your technical skills to stay up to date in the market.
• The ability to clarify requirements with Technical leads via strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.
• Experience of working in a quality technical environment with good knowledge of the end-to-end process
• Fluent in German and English Language
