Senior Front-End Developer (Next.js) - Contract
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in Victoria, London (non-negotiable)
Start Date: October
Contract Length: Until end of December (with likely extension)
Day Rate: Up to £450/day (outside IR35, negotiable)
A leading digital consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer to join a blended delivery team working on a high-profile media application. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with consultancy colleagues, client stakeholders, and nearshore partners to deliver an exceptional digital experience for end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, performant, and scalable front-end solutions using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
- Implement animations using Motion to create smooth, engaging user experiences
- Ensure front-end performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices are met
- Work closely with product owners, designers, and back-end developers in a collaborative, agile environment
- Integrate with content APIs (articles, authors, etc.) and support A/B testing via Adobe Target
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering production-grade applications with Next.js and React
- Strong expertise in TypeScript and modern front-end best practices
- Experience working with animations and transitions (preferably using Motion)
- Solid understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with CMS-driven content and A/B testing tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to work onsite three days per week
