Legal Tech & Innovation Lead | Prague | €70,000-€100,000

About the Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking Legal Tech & Innovation Lead to join our Legal & Compliance team in Prague. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge legal technology solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and decision-making across the organization.

This is a unique opportunity for a legal professional who has transitioned into technology and is passionate about transforming legal operations through automation, data, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Automation & Application Development

  • Design, build, and maintain custom internal tools, bots, and intelligent agents using low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Google Apps Script)

  • Develop and automate routine legal tasks, document workflows, and decision-making processes

API Integration & Systems Connectivity

  • Manage integrations between legal and business systems to ensure smooth data flow and interoperability

  • Work closely with IT and vendors to implement custom or no-code API solutions

Data & Analytics

  • Develop data models and interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau

  • Provide real-time insights into legal performance, spend, and KPIs

Strategic Project Delivery

  • Lead legal tech projects using Agile methodologies and manage the legal tech backlog

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, Lean, and Kaizen principles (Six Sigma preferred)

Leadership & Change Management

  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and process design sessions

  • Mentor Legal & Compliance colleagues and drive adoption of new tools and processes

  • Serve as an advocate for legal innovation across the organization

Your Background & Skills

Legal Experience

  • 8 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in a legal role

  • Deep understanding of the legal function's day-to-day priorities and constraints

Legal Tech Expertise

  • 4 years of experience working hands-on with legal technology tools (e.g., CLM, DMS, e-billing, AI intake/matter management systems)

  • Proven career transition from traditional legal practice to technology-focused roles

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with low-code/no-code development platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Google Apps Script, Zapier)

  • Experience building automated workflows using tools like Power Automate or Google AI Studio

  • Strong data and analytics skills (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel)

  • Experience integrating systems via APIs (custom or no-code)

Operational Excellence

  • Solid understanding of Agile project management frameworks

  • Proven application of Lean and continuous improvement principles

  • Demonstrated ability to manage organizational change and drive adoption

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent communicator able to translate complex legal needs into technical solutions

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and facilitation skills

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across legal, compliance, and business teams
