Lead / Engineering Manager - Miami - $200k

For more than 10 years, my client has specialised in providing software solutions in the fintech industry for partners with a global reach.

As Engineering Manager you will be building a team from the ground up and essentially opening the businesses Miami office. There is an existing team but they are planning to double the head count over the next 12 months.

You will be working using agile methodologies, on greenfield projects for some of the biggest names in finance. In this collaborative environment you will be encouraged to offer your own contributions to the full SDLC and bring your own knowledge of server-side Java development to the table to continuously influence the ongoing evolution of the product. Your contributions will shape the development of the Miami branch.

Expectations of the role:

• Growing and expanding the Miami development team
• Training and mentoring the team
• Reporting directly to the CEO
• Leading or Project Managing on the implementation of dazzling new features

Technical expectations:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Frontend understanding
• Experience of strong Agile Software Development (VCS, CI, CD, etc)
• Java 8
• Unix

Further, but not essential:

• Groovy
• Kotlin
• Javascript/Typscript/Angular/Vue/React
• CSS / SaSS
• WPF
• NoSQL databases systems (MongoDB, Aerospike, etc.)
• Relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres)
