Junior Project Manager - must have Public Sector experience
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Location: Fully remote (occasional travel to Birmingham)
An established UK-based organisation is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Project Manager to join its dynamic delivery team.
This is a fully remote role with occasional travel to Birmingham, offering the chance to work on meaningful initiatives that impact public services and communities across the UK.
The Junior Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Working closely with senior colleagues, they will contribute to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end delivery of projects, from initiation through to completion.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress against agreed milestones.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and updates for stakeholders.
- Contribute to risk and issue management, escalating where appropriate.
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Participate in meetings with internal teams and external partners, including occasional travel to Birmingham.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrable experience working as a Project Manager within the public sector.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Competence with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
- Exposure to recognised project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, or similar).
- Experience supporting change management or service delivery improvement projects.
