Overview

Our client, a leading transformation and services organisation, is delivering a major multi-year programme to support the transition and optimisation of core business functions. As part of this initiative, they are implementing a fully integrated operating model aligned to a new ERP platform, covering HR, Payroll, contact management, and data services.

They are seeking an HR & Payroll Functional Analyst to support the design, implementation, and transition of HR and Payroll services. The role will play a key part in shaping a cohesive, user-centred service offering, contributing to service blueprints, operating models, and the successful cutover to live operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of high-level service blueprints and operating models across HR and Payroll.
  • Support the creation of detailed service designs, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.
  • Participate in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to define and refine service interfaces.
  • Ensure service designs are aligned with existing solution capabilities and minimise bespoke development.
  • Support the development of training materials and test scripts aligned to the service model.
  • Collaborate with programme stakeholders to review, present and iterate service designs based on feedback.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of service transitions, including dress rehearsals and live cutovers.
  • Provide early-life support for transitioned services, helping to resolve issues and stabilise delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of services through design iteration and stakeholder engagement.

Essential Experience & Attributes

  • Proven experience in HR and Payroll service design within large-scale or multi-party delivery environments.
  • Track record of developing service operating models that integrate people, process, technology, and data.
  • Experience supporting the transition of live services and contributing to operational readiness activities.
  • Understanding of testing and training design aligned to new service introductions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-complexity delivery environments.
  • Comfortable operating both remotely and on-site as programme activity requires.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with ERP implementations, particularly Oracle or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of digital inclusion, accessibility, and ethical considerations in service delivery.
  • Experience contributing to accessible and user-centred service design.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for the duration of the role.
  • This is a UK-based role with flexibility for remote working and occasional nationwide travel.
