Functional Analyst - Finance/Procurement focused

Location: UK-wide (Home-based with travel to client and partner sites as required)

Overview

Our client, a leading transformation and services organisation, is delivering a major multi-year programme to implement a comprehensive operating model alongside a newly introduced ERP platform. The programme spans finance, procurement, contact management, data, automation, and AI.

They are seeking a Functional Analyst to support the design and implementation of service models across finance and procurement. This role will contribute to the successful delivery of integrated, user-centred services and play a key role in transition planning and early-life support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of finance and procurement service blueprints and operating models.
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of end-to-end service processes.
  • Participate in stakeholder workshops and forums to validate and refine service designs.
  • Assist in aligning service models to ERP and technical solution capabilities.
  • Provide input to training, testing and transition planning activities.
  • Support live service transition and post-implementation activities.

Essential Experience & Attributes

  • Experience in finance and procurement service design and operating model development.
  • Background in shared services or complex, multi-party delivery programmes.
  • Understanding of ERP-aligned service design and implementation.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote and on-site delivery environments.

Desirable

  • Experience with ERP platforms (e.g. Oracle).
  • Familiarity with public sector service standards.
  • Awareness of accessibility and inclusion in service delivery.

Additional Information

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for the duration of the role.
  • This is a UK-based role with flexibility for remote working and occasional nationwide travel.
