Application Security Lead

$150k - $175k, Fully Remote (North America/Canada)

As our Application Security Lead, you will be a key contributor responsible for providing top-notch security services to medium-sized businesses in finance, health, e-commerce, and technology sectors. You will lead a team of talented individuals and work collaboratively with our client's leadership team to deliver strategic initiatives and grow our business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Application Security experts and ensure they have well-defined goals and support them in achieving them
• Provide expert guidance on application security architecture, design, and risk assessment, including pentesting and threat modeling, using automated tools as well as manual methods
• Design application security solutions that meet clients' needs and work closely with their development teams to implement secure development activities
• Lead cross-domain collaboration and coordination of security efforts, providing expert guidance, peer reviews, and mentorship to other teams
• Identify areas for process improvement and automation and lead efforts to implement recommendations
• Uphold and promote a high standard of quality and remain true to our client's values in all respects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in Information Security, with at least 3 years in Application Security
• 3 years of modern software development experience (API expertise is a plus)
• 1 years of leading a technical team
• Strong understanding of secure software design, development methodologies, and principles
• In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, or C/C , as well as related application development frameworks
• Experience with static and dynamic security analysis tools, as well as black-box and white-box methodologies
• Passionate about software and security with an Ethical Hacker mindset
• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills
