Business Analyst.

Business Analyst - FX Trading (Contract) New York City (2 days per week onsite, downtown NY) - 6 months initially (C2C), starting October

Role Summary
An experienced Business Analyst is required to support the build of a front-office FX trading platform. The role will focus on the FX RFQ process and related trading strategies, working closely with technology and business teams to deliver low-latency, market-facing solutions. This is a hands-on position where prior experience building FX platforms, rather than simply maintaining or operating them, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document requirements around FX RFQ workflows and strategies
• Partner with trading desks and technology teams to design and deliver enhancements to the FX platform
• Contribute to the build of low-latency trading and market information systems (TCP/UDP communication essential)
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories
• Provide ongoing analysis and support during testing and implementation phases

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of FX trading processes, with proven expertise in RFQ workflows and strategies
• Prior experience building FX trading platforms (not just maintenance or BAU support)
• Understanding of market data, trading workflows, and electronic execution
• Familiarity with TCP/UDP communication and low-latency system design
• Background in capital markets, with experience engaging front-office stakeholders
