Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient Chrome extensions for superior functionality and performance.
  • Create JavaScript-embeddable scripts for seamless integration into websites within the dynamic Chrome environment.
  • Utilize deep Chrome expertise to optimize user experiences through extension development.
  • Establish smooth integrations with third-party Chrome APIs to enhance extension capabilities.
  • Develop reusable UI components to improve the user interface and performance of Chrome extensions.
  • Enhance page performance, loading speeds, and stability for Chrome users.
  • Maintain automated testing frameworks tailored for Chrome extensions to ensure flawless functionality.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive innovation in Chrome extension development.
  • Lead the adoption of new technologies to support our growing user base and keep our extensions ahead of the curve.
  • Take ownership of the overall roadmap and architecture of the Chrome extensions, identifying opportunities for enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in developing and optimizing Chrome extensions.
  • Strong foundation in computer science.
  • Over 4 years of experience with core JavaScript, especially in the Chrome ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS with a focus on Chrome compatibility.
  • Excellent knowledge of Chrome-specific APIs and third-party platform integration.
  • Proficiency in DOM manipulation, JavaScript object model, web crawling, and scraping within Chrome.
  • In-depth understanding of React.js, including React Hooks and Context, for Chrome extension development.
  • Experience with Chrome-specific unit testing, DevOps, and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with frontend development tools customized for Chrome extension development.
  • Experience in creating or maintaining JSON Web APIs backed by relational databases for Chrome extension integration.
  • Comfort with MVC, Dependency Injection, and ORM concepts within the Chrome ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with Chrome's web storage APIs, including WebSQL, IndexedDB, and localStorage.
