Senior Software.

Background

The successful candidate will work within a small development team designing, developing and maintaining websites, api's and windows services supporting core business functions.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and liaise with clients, technical and non-technical staff as required.
• Design and develop new software or modify existing software to meet business requirements, including specifications, coding, testing and user documentation.
• Work on a variety of projects to specification and timescales.
• Supporting live software systems, this may include activities outside of regular working hours.There is a support team that handles the majority of issues, however, in the last 6 months, there has been 2 critical errors that required additional support. Out of hours support is very rare.
• Ensure all work is performed according to the processes and standards followed by the development team.
• Perform code reviews for other developers on the team in accordance with and to promote the standards followed by the development team.
• Participate in the mentoring and training of team members.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance as required to other staff.
• Keep abreast of new technologies in the market place and share the knowledge within the team.
