We are currently seeking a skilled Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer and Developer to join our team in Berlin, specializing in PCB layout design. This is a very hands on role, not only behind a computer and designing, this involves hands-on HW Developmentand fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop EMC-compliant PCB layouts with an emphasis on visual aesthetics while considering manufacturing processes.
  2. Manage and maintain the ECAD component library.
  3. Contribute to the design of electronic circuits in the low-voltage range with a focus on energy efficiency.
  4. Participate in circuit design for energy harvesting from sources such as light, temperature differentials, and vibrations.
  5. Collaborate on projects involving voltage converters, circuit board antennas, and microcontroller circuits.
  6. Create block diagrams and circuit diagrams.
  7. Perform electronic component selection and testing.

Requirements:

  • Hold certification as a Certified Electronics Designer ZED or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Possess several years of hands-on experience with relevant ECAD software, such as Altium, Eagle, or KiCad.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of IPC regulations.
  • Have a deep understanding of the entire PCB production process.
  • Proficiency in English is essential, and German language skills are a plus.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in manual and machine-based circuit board assembly.
  • Strong soldering skills, including SMD soldering with and without a microscope.
  • Craftsmanship for constructing test adapters and equipment.
  • Programming knowledge in C for microcontroller periphery control, primarily for testing purposes.
