Senior C#/C Engineer- London/Hybrid- up to £100k plus bonus and benefits

Our client a leading financial services client that focuses predominantly on commodities and the forex market are looking for a Senior C#/C Engineer to join their team to sit in their Retail division to work on a portfolio of 40,000 real time products that can be traded.

Tech Stack:

• Low latency back end with components written in C , C# and Java (feed handlers from Bpupe, Refinitiv, RFA, FIX, Websocket etc.) to capture real time data from external venues
• Front end GUI is a mixture of WPF and Web clients, The displays are high performance and there is a distribution layer to provide scalability.
• Messaging- TREP, AMQ, ZeroMQ, GRPC and various encoding including protobuf
• Frameworks and tools such as Akka, Influx
• Operating systems are Linux and Windows
• The successful candidate will be developing full stack software to run on Windows and Linux. They will be using either C or C# to develop low latency pricing applications using their understanding of hardware concepts like NUMA, L1 cache, TCP offload, PTP time synchronisation and their understanding of lockless threading.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed requirement, design and code reviews
• Collaborate with and communicate effectively with all stakeholders setting expectations accurately
• Understand business requirements and design, develop and test effective solutions
• Understand and employ required development guidelines, design standards and best practices
• Assess, manage, and communicate risk involved in new functionality and releases
• Communicate features and impact of releases with all stakeholders
• Ensure software releases support continuous build and automated deployment
• Provide prompt and knowledgeable assistance to business continuity and platform operations whenever requested.
• Work to identify risks and enhance control across the business.
• Provide On-call production support as required
