Remote Principal/Lead Software Engineer £600-£700 PD

This is a remote position, outside of IR35 paying up to £700 per day for 6-12 months initially.

I'm working with a true leader in the marketing space who specialises in the gambling and financial markets, they are embarking on a mission to scale up dramatically and are undergoing a vast transformation. They have been established for over 6 years and you will be joining a team of over 100 people.

They are starting a new project on their leading affiliate marketing website to replace the current PHP/Laravel system with a Headless CMS, likely Storyblok.

They are looking for a pragmatic Principal Software Engineer to lead this project by really taking it by the horns and getting it done. You will be technically leading a team of 5 Software Engineers and 2 QAs though more will be added to the team over the next 3-6 months.

As a business, they are in the process of moving all of their legacy PHP projects to Node, TypeScript and React.

This is a truly exciting project where you will be given full autonomy to get the job done with the full support of the Senior Leadership team and whatever resources you need. In return, you need to be impactful, delivery focused and happy to work across departments and functions to deliver whilst architecting the implementation of the new CMS and being hands-on when needed.

You will ideally have experience with the below:

• Headless CMS platforms
• PHP
• Node.Js
• Strong API experience with RESTful and new approaches like GraphQL
• Strong experience in infrastructure and cloud platforms (they are using AWS)
