Our client is a leader in the utility comparison space with a genuine passion for helping consumers save money. Due to recent acquisitions they are building out a new Data team and are looking for both mid and senior level Data Engineers to join them on a permanent basis.

The role is currently remote but next year you will be expected in their central London office twice per week.

The successful candidates will be incremental in shaping the data engineering for a group of over 7 world famous businesses.

You will be designing and implementing a cloud based ETL platform, working on building data solutions to support the wider business, managing data from 6 sources and helping build an industry leading data analytics platform.

A key aspect of this role is the fact you will be joining a new team and you will need to have the ambition and ability to problem solve and work with different stakeholders throughout the business such as the Data Science team.

The Python Data Engineer will ideally have the following experience:

• Python
• Kubernetes
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) although AWS can be considered
• BigQuery
• Experience in orchestrating complex pipelines using Airflow, Dagster or other
• Experience in Building Extract Transform and Load (ETL) pipeline
• Experience building, designing, refactoring or optimising data lakes and data warehouses from a variety of data sources using data modelling techniques
