FIX Software Developer - C#.

Our client Is a global financial services company that offers a range of products and services to clients in the financial markets. They have a Comprehensive product offering, experienced management team, global reach, and innovative technology to ensure that it can stay ahead of the competition.

Currently looking for a permanent full time software engineer - FIX

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and implement business and client feedback to develop and improve FIX connectivity framework
  • Coordinate release of new applications and configurations with internal teams and external clients
  • Utilize strong business analysis and design skills to gather technical and business requirements for effective epic and user story detailing
  • Serve as point of contact for incident recording and resolution and assist in maturing incident management
  • Assist in establishing internal and external connectivity needs and providing L1 support for onboarding and exception management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields with relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in developing solutions using the FIX protocol and QuickFix or other popular FIX engines.
  • Hands-on programming experience in C# (knowledge of Python and/or C is a plus).
  • Professional experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as MQ-based and Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and various design patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of core principles of object-oriented design and their application in highly scaled distributed architecture.
  • General Linux knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and networking protocols such as TCP and UDP.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate different algorithmic approaches to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Shell-based scripting, GIT, Azure DevOps.
  • Experience and knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and trading life cycle.
