Company overview:

My client are a leader within their industry and developing exciting solar based systems across a range of different industries. They are currently looking for an experienced embedded SW Engineer to join the team and drive forward the next wave of projects that they are working on.

Start date:

  • As soon as possible

Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of MCU Software including software development, software release and software version management.
  • Software requirements definition and software architecture and function design
  • Writing and maintaining program and functions for family of automotive power electronics, including high voltage devices
  • Writing and/or adapting control models and algorithms into usable microcontroller code
  • Conversion of existing bare metal code into model based software
  • Conducting program debugging within development frameworks and directly on hardware
  • Programming and handling of common automotive communications such as CAN and derivatives
  • Consistently develop within common coding standards such as unit testing, git revision control, modular and reusable code, etc.

Background:

  • Expertise in writing C/C for microcontrollers in safety-critical electronics components
  • Expertise in adapting control algorithms into performant, real-time code
  • Strong understanding of electronics schematics, integrated circuit functions, and how to manage IC peripherals
  • Strong understanding of revision control, both technically and for intra-team communication
  • Experience with MathWorks Simulink/Stateflow and MathWorks code generation for automotive applications
  • Experience developing for AUTOSAR/ISO26262/ASPICE contexts
  • Experience working with Vector Canalyzer, Vector Tools, oscilloscope and logic analyser
