Senior Data Scientist | Remote (Germany) | 3/4 Stage Process | €75K - €95K per Annum

I am currently partnered with the fastest-growing SaaS and Engineering-focused scale-ups in Germany, and I am looking for talented Data Scientist to join a team of high performing individuals to make meaningful business impact.

It is pivotal you have experience working at SAAS businesses on Engineering focussed teams/projects as this domain relevant experience is vital for the role.

Your Role:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and growth within our dynamic organization. You will leverage your expertise in machine learning and deep learning to extract valuable insights from complex datasets, develop cutting-edge solutions, and contribute to our overall success.

Your Impact:

  • Ensure Scalability, Reliability, and Maintainability: Employ best practices to build robust and efficient ML solutions that can handle large-scale data and evolving business needs.
  • Drive Data-Driven Insights: Combine and clean data, perform complex analyses, and apply modern ML and deep learning algorithms to uncover hidden patterns and trends.
  • Demonstrate Value: Collaborate with product teams and business units to develop proof-of-concepts that showcase the tangible benefits of your data science solutions.
  • Bridge the Gap: Translate domain-specific problems into mathematical and technical requirements, and effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.
  • Foster a Culture of Excellence: Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Your Qualifications:

  • Academic Background: Hold a degree in mathematics, a technical field, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Possess 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Data Scientist.
  • Technical Proficiency: Have a deep understanding of machine learning/deep learning, statistical analysis, and developing business cases for data science products.
  • Programming Skills: Be proficient in SQL/NoSQL, Python, and common ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, PyTorch).
  • Domain Expertise: Understand typical challenges in developing and providing data science products, as well as the pros and cons of various ML/DL algorithms.
  • Engineering Best Practices: Be confident with software development best practices, container technologies (such as Docker), and cloud platforms.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, modular, and testable code, moving beyond Jupyter notebooks to production-quality solutions.
