Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our clients team as the Head of Drone Development. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, embedded software, and aviation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing hardware and software for drones, particularly for applications in emergency services. An understanding of mechatronics for drone-based devices is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge drone technology tailored for emergency service applications.
• Oversee the integration of electrical systems and embedded software into drone platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of drone systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components.
• Conduct research and development activities to innovate and enhance drone capabilities and functionalities.
• Manage the full lifecycle of drone development projects from concept to deployment, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers and developers.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to drones and aviation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including emergency services, regulatory bodies, and technology partners.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and aviation regulations throughout the development process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to drone systems and components.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in drone development, including hardware and software integration.
• Strong background in electrical engineering and embedded software.
• Comprehensive understanding of aviation principles and regulations.
• Expertise in mechatronics and the development of drone-based devices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Experience working with emergency services or in a related field is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems (e.g., C, C ).
• Familiarity with drone flight control systems and autonomous navigation technologies.
• Experience with CAD software and other design tools for hardware development.
• Knowledge of wireless communication systems and protocols used in drone technology.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices in drone operation.
