Our European IT Organization provides internal IT services to approximately 1,000 colleagues throughout Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Taking full responsibility for the organization of IT Application Services (Front Office), including the development of our IT (FO) applications in accordance with ITSM and ITIL principles, as well as their operation and development.
- Providing leadership and strategic guidance for the team "IT Application Services (Front Office)" comprising both internal and external members, ensuring our daily business runs smoothly.
- Developing and implementing IT strategies for the area of IT Application Services (Front Office) in line with our overall IT strategy.
- Initiating and executing projects to develop and implement new and updated IT (front office) application solutions and services to meet the business needs of our European offices.
- Identifying and analyzing gaps to ensure good service delivery (quantity and quality of work, timescales, and budget) and to further develop our service.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a team-leading role in IT application management and experience in the further strategic development of a team, preferably in an international environment.
- Strong leadership skills and perpetual management experience in personnel management with distributed international teams and intercultural collaboration.
- Comprehensive long-term experience in the operation of Front Office applications, preferably in the insurance sector.
- Valid knowledge of IT project management and software development methods (waterfall, agility, scrum), programming (Java), and database management (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2, etc.).
- Fluent in spoken and written English; German language skills are optional.
