Junior Data Analyst.

My client an exciting music licensing business are looking for a Junior Data Analyst (BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Insight Analyst, JIRA, Data Analytics, Excel, SQL) to join their Data and Insight department in London.

The business predominantly licenses the use of recorded music played in public and distribute the fees to its performer. This means you will be working with vast amounts of data.

This role will require you to be in the office up to three times a week and is paying £25k - £30k. A great opportunity for graduates who have commercial experience within data analytics. Good career progression opportunities.

As a Junior Data Analyst (BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Insight Analyst, JIRA, Data Analytics, Excel, SQL) will support the Lead Insight Analyst in tasks such and apply critical thinking to logically structure and capture business problems perform the necessary data sourcing, preparation, analysis, visualisation, testing, and presentation of findings. You will also build relationships with business stakeholders.

Key accountability's for the Junior Data Analyst (BI Analyst, Business Analyst, Insight Analyst, JIRA, Data Analytics, Excel, SQL):

  1. Follow a structured development process, utilising best-practice methods and tools, to perform the necessary data sourcing, preparation, modelling, analysis, visualisation, and testing to present high-quality insight to business consumers.
  2. Capture, manage, and track the status of all workload within JIRA, D&I's ticket management system, to ensure work is documented to a given standard and can be reported to management on an ongoing basis.
  3. Maintain regular communications with business consumers to ensure they are able to realise the full benefit of those services.
  4. Seek to proactively understand business objectives and challenges, and to identify new opportunities to use data to address them.
  5. Manage own personal development, identifying required skills, and investigating new techniques for analysing/visualising data that can deliver benefits for business stakeholders.
  6. Good Excel knowledge and experience.
  7. Some SQL knowledge.
