You will oversee a team of proficient designers and work closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure the digital products and services deeply connect with their members while upholding our company's core values. This senior managerial position involves team leadership, but maintaining a hands-on approach is crucial, and they welcome your innovative contributions.

The UX/UI Lead's Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled UX/UI designers, fostering a collaborative and enjoyable work atmosphere that promotes individual growth.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional groups, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to comprehend user requirements and business objectives.
  • Assume responsibility for the entire design process, from research and insights gathering to delivering flawless designs and prototypes.
  • Spearhead the development of innovative, user-centric design solutions that elevate the member experience and fuel business expansion.
  • Establish and uphold design guidelines, ensuring coherence and a seamless brand experience across all digital interactions.
  • Remain updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, injecting this knowledge into the design team and the broader organization.
  • Advocate for usability testing and user feedback sessions, incorporating insights to iterate and enhance designs progressively.
  • Guide and nurture team members' professional growth, cultivating a culture of learning and ongoing enhancement

 

Qualifications & Requirements for the UX/UI Lead:

  • Over 6 years of specialized experience in product & UX design and other relevant creative roles.
  • Extensive background in UX/UI design, demonstrated through a portfolio highlighting your skill set and innovative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven track record in guiding and overseeing design teams, empowering them to achieve outstanding outcomes.
  • In-depth comprehension of user-centered design principles and industry best practices, with a dedicated emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Proficiency in employing design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Marvel, Zeplin, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling seamless collaboration with a diverse array of stakeholders.

Hybrid Working

2 days a week onsite - Croydon

Salary Expectations £70k-£80K (sweet spot £70-£75K)

Plus 10% Bonus
