The Technical Architect position encompasses a hands-on engineering aspect, so be ready to dive right in! Your extensive experience with web, cloud, and data technologies will play a pivotal role in tackling intriguing challenges, contributing to the realization of an industry-leading, fully cloud-native, and consistently available architecture.
Your role will involve collaboration with Product, Engineering, Platform, and Site Reliability teams, ensuring the upkeep of our platform and applications roadmap. You'll be responsible for evaluating the design of new services and features within the context of our tech ecosystem, considering both functional and non-functional aspects like performance, availability, observability, security, and cost.
Maintaining a strategic vision, you'll guide a fast-paced development cycle towards your envisioned target architecture. You'll also become our client's go-to expert on architectural best practices within the Digital and Cloud Engineering realms. Your unique blend of advocating for cutting-edge tools and practices while pragmatically addressing legacy systems is a key asset.
Qualifications & Prerequisites for the Technical Architect
- Proficient in generating well-defined documentation and Design Artifacts
- Capable of delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
Technical Architecture
- Proficient in UML or an equivalent framework (sequence, use case, activity diagrams)
- Familiar with Cloud Architectural Patterns (e.g., SOA, CQRS, BFF)
- Experienced in software design patterns and best practices * Skilled in API-based interaction design
- Knowledgeable in event-driven Architectures
- Competent in API design, including RESTful and Graph APIs
- Acquainted with architectural frameworks like TOGAF or FEAF
- Familiar with contemporary software engineering methodologies and the digital product lifecycle
- Well-versed in DevSecOps best tools and practices
- Knowledgeable about regulatory and industry standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, OWASP, ISO 9000 range
Technology
- In-depth expertise in Microsoft Azure
- Proficient in Kubernetes and containerization patterns
- Skilled in SQL Server, Redis, Cosmos DB, or other Document DBs
- Experienced in Service Bus and distributed messaging architectures
- Familiar with APM tools and practices, including Azure Monitor
- Recent proficiency with programming and scripting languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript/TS, bash, PowerShell, or Python)
- Familiarity with Node, React, and node-based SSR tools like Next.js
- Knowledgeable about modern web application development practices
Desirable Skills
- Competent in Azure API Management
- Knowledgeable about Virtual Network architectures
- Familiar with K8s security features (SecurityContext, network policies)
- Proficient in KQL
- Acquainted with SIEM systems such as Sentinel
- Familiar with Cloudflare * Skilled in A/B and MVT Testing
- Experienced with GitOps approach and DevOps workflow automation
- Proficient in BDD, ATDD, TDD
- Knowledgeable about CRM, CMS, and ERP Systems
- Familiar with Data Analytics
