Senior Solution Architect| 2 stage process | Consultancy | Mostly Remote | Northern Ireland | £70-£100k

I am collaborating with a renowned consultancy that is seeking multiple Senior Solutions Architects to join an expanding infrastructure team in Northern Ireland. This role offers the flexibility to work primarily from your home office or attend the office on a hybrid or full-time basis. It's crucial to note that candidates must be eligible for security clearance, meeting the following criteria:

  1. Status: British Citizen/Settled Status/Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
  2. Residency: Minimum of 5 years' residency in the UK

We are currently seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead enterprise-level customers on their Cloud journey. This is an exciting opportunity within our Technology Solutions team as we embark on a growth-driven mission to enhance customer outcomes.

As a Solutions Architect with a primary focus on Cloud technologies (Azure and/or AWS), you will directly engage with C-level customers to help define and shape their requirements. This position falls under our Professional Services Solution Architecture team and involves the creation of end-to-end solutions while maintaining governance over the design in collaboration with our delivery partners.

The Senior Solution Architect role demands a breadth of technical expertise to guide the customer's technology strategy effectively. It encompasses the following skills and experience:

  • Technical Leadership: Proficiency in leading technical initiatives.
  • Program Management: Demonstrated experience in successfully managing multiple complex programs concurrently.
  • Solution Design: Proven experience in Solution Architecture, with a minimum of 8 years in this role.
  • Industry Certifications: Holds relevant industry certifications, demonstrating expertise through experience.
  • Business Acumen: The ability to comprehend business challenges, applying technology solutions to address them.
  • Accountability: Full accountability for technical solutions.
  • Stress Management: Capability to perform at a high standard in sustained high-pressure environments.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation.
  • Technical Artifacts: Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical documentation.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Knowledgeable in Enterprise Architecture, including frameworks such as TOGAF.
  • Roadmapping: Demonstrated experience in defining, documenting, communicating, and driving technical roadmaps.
  • Technology Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure and technology, with a specific focus on Microsoft (M365/Exchange/Azure/AD), Cloud, Citrix, and Cyber Security.
  • Market Awareness: Excellent awareness of technology market trends, with the ability to apply insights to meet business needs.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to manage and lead technical delivery teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, with effective communication at CxO level.
  • Governance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and understanding of governance practices.
  • Growth Mindset: Possesses a growth mindset and a can-do attitude, adaptable to dynamic environments.

It's crucial to emphasize that this role is not focused on Business as Usual (BAU) tasks. Rather, it requires an infrastructure-focused skill set (not software or network). Key aspects of this role include:

  • Azure: Certification in Azure is advantageous, with minimal use of AWS.
  • Growth and Progression: A critical mindset for this role. Candidates don't necessarily need the same job title but must demonstrate the required skills.
  • Programme Allocation: You will be assigned to a Programme Manager.
  • Project Leadership: While not leading a team of individuals, you will be the lead within a project, managing technical resources and adhering to best practices.
  • Public Sector Advantage: A background in the public sector is advantageous.

What's in it for you:

  • Holiday: 23 days (rising to 27) with the option to purchase additional leave.
  • Benefits: Company-matched pension, life assurance, cycle-to-work scheme, generous maternity/adoption/shared parental leave, paternity pay, and more.
  • Volunteering: Paid time off for volunteering with charity partners or causes of your choice.
  • Voluntary Benefits: A range of benefits tailored to your lifestyle, from retail discounts to health and wellbeing offerings.
  • Employee Network Groups: Opportunities to connect and learn from colleagues through diverse Employee Network Groups.
