Senior Software Developer - Ruby - Contract Position.

Currently recruiting senior Ruby Developers for my client who is a global technology consultancy firm that provides software design, development, and delivery services to businesses and organizations.

They specialize in agile software development.

At this organisation senior developers are the technologist who cultivate this environment while driving teams toward delivering on an aspirational tech vision and acting as mentors

The senior Ruby On Rails Developer will:

Deliver high-quality software and value to customers early on, using continuous delivery practices
Collaborate in value-driven teams to create innovative customer experiences
Develop large-scale distributed systems with microservices
Utilize latest technology to solve client problems
Effectively use DevOps tools and practices for software building and deployment
Oversee or participate in the entire software consulting and delivery cycle
Mentor less-experienced peers through technical expertise and leadership skills.
Technical skills we are looking for:

Proficient in Ruby on Rails and one other language such as Java, C#, or Python
Skilled in writing high-quality, well-tested code with Object-Oriented programming
Experienced in Agile methods, including Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum, and/or Kanban * Familiarity with cloud technology, such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker, is a plus
Other skills:

Advocate for technical excellence while being adaptable to change
Actively participate in the tech community through speaking engagements, open source contributions, and blogs
Demonstrate resilience in ambiguous situations and approach challenges from multiple perspectives

candidates must be able to secure SC Clearance (lived in the UK for 5 years)
candidates must be located in Newcastle due to the nature of the project/so the client can receive funding
