We have partnered with an award-winning insurance provider who create specialist insurance products to businesses around the world. They are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join their team in London.

The role

As the Senior Azure Data Engineer (Python, Spark, Azure) you will be taking ownership of their Data Engineering function, working closely with the C suite and Senior Technical Architects to build a new data platform. You will directly influence the companies' data strategy with your ideas being heard and implemented.

They are looking for a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer (Python, Spark, Azure) who is confident speaking with external brokers and senior stakeholders as well as technical teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Create data pipelines between different layers in the platform
• Ensuring the technical infrastructure is in place to support the data platform
• Creating standards and patterns for future development
• Defining features and capabilities to move the dial on data usage within the insurance industry
• Helping complete the current migration to Azure

Key experience:

• Designing and using Azure capabilities and analytics tools (Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics)
• Strong SQL knowledge (SQL Server and Azure SQL)
• Strong Python knowledge
• Experience with Spark
• Strong experience analyzing, migrating, cleaning and modelling data
