My client are a prominent fintech company that drives the trade finance programs for global trade banks and corporations, establishing themselves as a market leader in the industry.

Looking for a Scrum Master who will report into the VP Of Engineering

You will play a crucial role in the agile delivery methodology, serving as a facilitator, communicator, collaborator, nurturer, coach, and servant leader. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the sprint delivery of one or more Scrum/Kanban teams working on complex releases involving multiple stakeholders.

In this role, you will uphold our agile principles while maintaining flexibility to adapt when necessary. You will stay closely engaged with the team's progress, providing status updates and identifying delivery risks to keep stakeholders, including Product, VP of Engineering, and PMO, informed.

Additionally, you will ensure the effectiveness of our Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, by implementing structure and maximizing their value.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of delivering sprint goals and ensure their successful completion.
  • Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Manage Sprint planning and track progress across multiple development streams.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, BA, Dev, QA, and Infrastructure.
  • Provide governance and reporting for projects, including resource management and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate the prevention and resolution of issues to ensure smooth delivery and reduce waste.
  • Actively manage JIRA boards and enforce adherence to our Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
  • This is NOT an agile coaching role; it requires active scrum mastering of delivery.

 

The successful Scrum Master should have the below skills/experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a relevant role.
  • Expertise in working with Scrum and Kanban methodologies in a technology environment. You understand the principles behind Agile and can adapt practices to fit specific contexts.
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience in managing the delivery of both business and technology projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Project Management and Office tools, including risk matrix, issues log, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio/Draw.io, etc.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in scrum mastering multiple teams.
  • Experience in delivering Agile in globally distributed teams.
