Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Tech Lead
Bengaluru/Remote in India - Contract role
My client are seeking an experienced Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Tech Lead join the leadership team for our digital eB2B portal. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions within Salesforce's core products and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), supporting a multi-market eB2B platform used for direct ordering, content management, and case management.
The successful candidate will lead a small team within the Customer domain, focusing on expanding and optimizing our SFMC solutions across multiple communication channels (email, SMS, push notifications) using tools like Journey Builder, Einstein, Analytics, and Personalization Studio.
This role will require a deep technical understanding of Salesforce products and experience in cross-platform integrations (SAP, Quantum Metrics, Google Analytics, and Power BI).
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Oversee and develop solution design across Salesforce, SAP, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Solution Architects to align with reference architecture and design scalable, automated solutions.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team focused on Customer domain implementations, ensuring optimal performance, growth, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Work closely with various internal teams (Consumer SFMC, IM&S, Legal, Data Privacy) and external stakeholders.
Technical Development & Configuration:
- Design and configure 'core' Salesforce solutions (Sales, Service, and Commerce Cloud) to support end-to-end business processes.
- Develop low-code proof of concept (POC) solutions that align with business requirements and demonstrate practical applications of new Salesforce capabilities.
Integration & Documentation:
- Manage end-to-end integrations spanning SAP, Salesforce, SFMC, Quantum Metrics, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI).
- Ensure all documentation is updated, accurate, and adheres to company standards for transparency and compliance.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Actively troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing guidance and hands-on support to both the internal team and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
Salesforce Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with Salesforce core products (Sales, Service, and Commerce Clouds) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Proficient in automation solutions, Apex, JavaScript, Lightning Web Components, Object Oriented Design, and SOLID Principles.
- Knowledgeable in Salesforce limits, security model, Big Objects, Custom Metadata, and understanding when to apply specific Salesforce tools (Flow vs. Apex).
Technical Toolset:
- Experienced with VSCode, Salesforce CLI, Scratch Orgs, and release automation tools.
- Competence in using source control tools and an understanding of batched and streaming integration.

- Strategic thinker who can translate business needs into technical requirements and recommend innovative solutions.
- Strong communicator, capable of liaising between technical teams, business units, and external stakeholders.
