Pricing lead

We are seeking an innovative pricing lead who can enhance our business's competitiveness and profitability. In this role, you will evaluate client proposals, develop profitable and innovative solutions, and support transformation projects aimed at improving and streamlining sales and back-office operations. Your contributions will enable accelerated future growth and drive overall business success.

The role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Product & Solutions, Sales, Billing, Finance, IT & Business Operations, Contracting, and Commercial.

You will be responsible for presenting analytical findings and providing recommendations to Pricing Managers based on the insights gathered from these collaborative efforts.

Day to day duties for the pricing lead


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop customized client proposals and P&Ls, presenting various options to sales, client management, and product leaders.
  • Offer analytical support in the development of client proposals and conduct benchmarking activities.
  • Monitor customer performance, including volumes, waterfalls, and billing, as needed to inform the creation of effective pricing strategies for large and complex clients.
  • Evaluate discounting requests submitted by clients through automated systems.
  • Identify process gaps within the pricing organization and propose ongoing improvements for enhanced efficiency.

 

The successful pricing lead should have the below skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and presenting complex pricing to relevant stakeholders at a management level.
  • Desirable experience in pricing data and software products within a B2B environment.
  • Proficient in Excel with good data manipulation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement in data quality.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a project-based environment.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of key business, financial, and commercial drivers.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams outside of Pricing.
  • Capable of working quickly and accurately, often under tight deadlines set by customers.
