My client is seeking a Kubernetes Platform Engineer to work within their Technology Enablement team. This team is responsible for working to build, maintain and continuously improve their newly built containerisation platform
Working with one of the UKs leading Ecommerce and Retail companies, the brand has implemented some of the freshest technology on available and continue to innovate, providing an efficient and simple service to the customers. Key Skills:
A minimum of 2 years' experience with developing and managing Kubernetes environments, based upon Anthos / GKE ideally.
- At least 2 years of experience in a traditional infrastructure, SRE or Operations role
- Experience delivering containerised and virtualised infrastructures
- Deployment pipelines using CI / CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Octopus
- Setting up and managing environments using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- You will need to be comfortable with one of these programming/scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Go, Bash and Ruby
Desirable Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals covering Load balancers, DNS, virtual networks, and firewalls
- Monitoring / Observability, Logging, and Alerting platforms such as Logic Monitor, Honeycomb and PagerDuty
- Site Reliability Engineering
This role is on a hybrid basis and you will be able to work from their Manchester or Mansfield office.
