The head of delivery reports to the CEO and will be a key leader

Working in close collaboration with the RevOps, Technology, and Finance teams, your role will involve ensuring the delivery of an exceptional client experience and successful project completion within specified timelines and budgets.

You will closely partner with the Director of Technology and be responsible for guiding and directing our project, analysis, development, support, and QA teams.

Your experience in mentoring and motivating teams will be crucial, as you contribute as a team player who is willing to dive into details when necessary.

In addition to managing complex technical projects for clients, ranging from transformative initiatives to cloud migrations, you will also oversee the financial and contractual aspects of project delivery, fostering balanced commercial relationships and ensuring profitability. With a focus on finding solutions and a knack for problem-solving, you will collaborate effectively with both colleagues and clients to drive successful outcomes.

 

The Head of Delivery Should have the following skills:

  • Possess a technical background and deep understanding of software development and consultancy within a commercial supplier environment.
  • Demonstrate experience in coaching, managing, and mentoring individuals in a technical setting.
  • Extensive and proven expertise in B2B project and program management, with a focus on Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to effectively manage projects within contract parameters, proactively mitigating business risks and adhering to budgets.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and change control process.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing budgets.
  • Proficient in negotiating and resolving conflicts among multiple stakeholders to achieve precise and impactful business outcomes.
  • Possess confidence to challenge conventional practices and engage in constructive conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Experienced in owning and reporting departmental performance data.
  • Innovative and creative problem solver capable of delivering diverse and complex bespoke software services and solutions within a consultancy environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

 

Desirable Expertise

  • Relevant qualification in a technical or projects discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of leading digital transformation projects, either to internal or external stakeholders
