Currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Cloud Architecture on a perm basis for our client who is a UK-based organization that operates as the central communications service provider. Their goal is to make the UK smarter, connected and greener.

 

The Head of Cloud plays a vital role in steering the company's cloud strategy and ensuring its effective implementation. Working closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and other stakeholders, this individual aligns cloud initiatives with the organization's broader business objectives.

Their primary focus is to foster the adoption of cloud technologies throughout the company, driving innovation and efficiency in tandem with the company's vision.

The head of cloud architecture will have the below responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute an all-encompassing cloud strategy that harmonizes with the company's overarching business objectives and aspirations.
  • Head the Cloud Centre of Excellence team, fostering close collaboration with stakeholders throughout the organization to promote the integration of cloud technologies.
  • Supervise cloud migration and implementation ventures, ensuring punctual, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
  • Partner with the security, compliance, and privacy teams to guarantee adherence to pertinent regulations and standards in the development of cloud solutions.
  • Propel innovation and transformation by staying abreast of cutting-edge cloud technologies and market trends, identifying novel opportunities to optimize business processes and outcomes through cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with fellow technology leaders to institute a cloud-first approach across the entire organization.
  • Advocate the advantages of cloud computing to all stakeholders, garnering their support and buy-in for embracing cloud initiatives.

 

The head of Cloud Architecture should have the below skills and experience:

  • Progressive experience (ideally 10 year)s of in the technology and cloud computing field, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Extensive track record of successfully spearheading cloud migration and implementation projects, coupled with an in-depth grasp of cloud technologies and prevailing market trends.
  • Proficient project management acumen and proven expertise in guiding cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated history of driving innovation and transformative initiatives, with a keen enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with the latest technology advancements.
  • Strong leadership skills, showcasing the capacity to inspire and effectively manage a team.

 

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing, experience leading cloud migration and implementation projects, and a track record of driving innovation and transformation.
