Field Service Engineer.

We're currently seeking a Field Service Engineer for our thriving global shared service consultancy, renowned for spearheading innovation and digital transformation. This role, requiring a full driving license (company car provided), focuses on delivering hardware support to esteemed clients across Essex, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support and swift problem resolution for diverse customer groups.
  • Install desktop PC's, laptops, printers, servers, and manage basic network requirements.
  • Adhere to tight Service Level Agreements, ensuring key metrics like Response, Resolution, and First-Time Fix are met.

What You'll Be Doing: Efficiently resolve hardware faults across various technologies:

  • Printers (predominantly LED, Laser & Dot Matrix)
  • PC's (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Generic)
  • Laptops (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Generic)
  • Thin Clients
  • Configure & replace Routers, Switches, Hubs, and modems
  • VOIP Phone
  • MS Windows
  • MS Office
  • Image builds & configurations (including data backup and recovery)

What we are looking for in the successful field servcie engineer:

  • Accreditations in HP, Dell, Lenovo are preferable.
  • Solid knowledge of Printers (OKI, Epson, or HP preferred)
  • Operational understanding of MS Windows
  • Experience with PC/Laptop hardware
  • Familiarity with working in a Field environment
  • Strong customer-facing skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Clean driving license
  • Self-Management with good organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills

Candidates must have no more than 3 points on their license and be eligible for an enhanced DBS check. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, with the requirement to be at the first job by 9:30 am.
