I am currently working with a very exciting company that are delivering a once-in-a-generation programme, perhaps the most ambitions of its kind in the wold.

They are currently going through a hyper-growth period and want to keep that momentum by onboarding a Cloud Solutions Specialist.

The Cloud Solution Specialist will help drive the successful exploitation of cloud technologies through the delivery of ambitious and novel solutions that meets the Network Evolution needs and delivers the company mission of delivering value for money to its customers, underpinned by a culture of transparency.

The role holder will be focused primarily on the delivery of contemporary and innovative technical solutions for the most challenging problems of Network Evolution problems and helping CTO to understand how to exploit cloud technologies.

The salary range for this role is £70000-£75000 per annum 10% car allowance 20% discretionary bonus.

THE ROLE:

• Cloud Strategy, target operating models, Architecture and design for foundations
• Cloud Delivery - landing zones /foundation platform, complex migrations
• Cloud Data - Current state Analysis, target architecture, data migration strategies to cloud
• Cloud Risk & Security - experience in implementing DevSecOps and automation of guardrails
• DevOps - Infrastructure as code, Implementation of pipelines and orchestration services
• Cloud cost optimisation and management frameworks
• Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud design and implementations

TECHNOLOGIES:

• Integration - APIs, micro-services and ETL patterns
• Execution Paradigm - low latency/Streaming, batch and micro batch processing
• Data platforms - Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka etc.) and Data Warehouse (Teradata, Redshift, BigQuery etc.)
• Languages and scripting: Python, Java etc
• Cloud Services - AWS, GCP, Azure and Cloud Native
• DevOps - Ansible, Jenkins, ELK
• Containerisation - Docker, Kubernetes etc
• Orchestration - Airflow, Step Functions, Ctrl M etc.
• Knowledge of foundation infrastructure requirements such as Networking, Storage, Security and Compute Optimization
