Business Systems Architect - Enterprise Architect

Our client is a software development company and they are looking for a Business Systems Architect on a permanent basis

You will act as a leader working across different levels within the organisation to translate business strategy into business change and technical delivery

The successful business systems architect will be responsible for identifying priorities for change to enable delivery at pace and owning the Business System architecture vision, strategy and roadmaps from a business, technology, and integration perspective, including 'as is', 'to be' and transitional states.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify priorities for change to enable delivery at pace
  • Understand and communicate where they get competitive advantage from internal systems and where they do not
  • Collaborate and consult with stakeholders to assure business, technology and data decisions are aligned with enterprise architecture strategy
  • Influence the delivery of cross-cutting capabilities that enable business change
  • Own the Business Systems architecture vision, strategy, integrations and roadmaps from a business, technology, information flow and integration perspective, including 'as is', 'to be' and transitional states
  • Understand the organisation's technology ecosystem and its interdependencies, including reference architectures
  • Take a strategic view across all business system architectural domains, integrations, portfolios, and programmes
  • Guide the organisation to make appropriate business, technology, and data decisions by recommending reuse, sustainability, and scalability, to achieve value for money and reduce risk
  • Establish architectural principles, policies and standards for enterprise architecture and business systems

 

The successful business systems architect should have the following skills and experience

  • Business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis
  • Knowledge of business system ecosystems (Salesforce, Adobe, Netsuite), SaaS infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), service-oriented architecture (SOA), integration platform as a service (iPaas), APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven
  • Knowledge of no-code and low-code and the benefits those can bring to an organisation
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle
  • Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks,
  • Understanding of existing, new, and emerging technologies, and processing environments
  • Strong leadership skills with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork,
  • facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management,
  • stakeholder management and business development.
  • Knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture, business and IT principles and
  •
