We are seeking an experienced professional to join us in the role of Business Analyst. As a key member of our technical delivery teams, you will collaborate closely with a principal Developer and one or more scrum tribes. Your contributions will be vital in driving our projects forward.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and comprehending business problems or opportunities
  • Conducting research and analysis to understand the workings of a business or specific business area, encompassing people, organization, processes, information, data, and technology
  • Identifying areas for improvement, exploring viable options, analyzing the impact of change, and defining success criteria
  • Identifying and detailing user and business needs to facilitate effective design, development, and testing of services and business transformations
  • Providing advice on prioritization and minimum viable product based on analysis-driven insights
  • Ensuring that new products and services align with business and user requirements and are in line with organizational objectives
  • Recognizing and evaluating any business and policy constraints that must be considered and assessing their implications

This is a remote role with occasional travel required to client sites and APG offices in Harlow, Leeds, and Derbyshire.

The experience we are looking for in the successful Business Analyst

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering mutual trust.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various delivery methodologies, including scrum and Kanban.
  • Track record of delivering change in a Business Analyst or equivalent role.
  • Deep understanding of writing user stories and effectively communicating requirements to implementation teams.
  • Experience in process mapping.
  • Familiarity with road mapping techniques and proficiency in relevant software for roadmap management.
  • Previous work experience in dedicated scrum teams.
  • Experience collaborating directly with multidisciplinary development and implementation teams.
  • Exposure to service design and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with wireframing and UX processes.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks originating from different sources, navigating ambiguity successfully.
