Application Security Architect

We're seeking an Application Security Architect to join their highly successful team.
Their software revolutionizes the software delivery process for teams worldwide. Their products effectively address database issues throughout the entire development lifecycle, from development to deployment, while ensuring optimal performance and security at all times.
As the Application Security Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of my clients products. Your role will involve promoting a secure-by-design culture by collaborating with all our product teams, and providing them with the necessary context, processes, and practices to build secure software.
You will be a pivotal member of the Director of Technology and Innovation's first-line team, working closely with peers in adjacent disciplines and the wider Security Team to ensure that my client continues to take advantage of the ever-changing technology landscape.
The ideal Application Security Architect?
We're looking for someone who can help take our clients security practices to the next level
- Demonstrate expertise in modern security practices, including a comprehensive understanding of common frameworks such as NIST, MITRE, or OWASP, as well as governance frameworks like ISO27001.
- Proven track record of implementing effective and secure practices within an organization.
- Proficient in languages, particularly C#, TypeScript, and Java, with the ability to identify security vulnerabilities and develop patches.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner tailored to the intended audience.
- Experience working in an agile development environment that emphasizes rapid iteration and team accountability over gated development practices.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with a history of leading change initiatives.

- Able to apply various leadership styles, depending on the person and task; effectively coaching, mentoring, supporting and directing teams/individuals as required
- An excellent communicator with a proven ability to build rapport, influence peers, resolve conflict and build consensus
- Good understanding of the current industry security threats, challenges and mitigation techniques
