API Solution Architect

Develop is partnering with one of the UKs largest retail banks, embarking on a significant transformation to enhance the services provided to their customers, with technology playing a pivotal role in driving this change.

Your Impact: This is a brand-new and dynamic role focused on supporting the development and communication of a coherent technical and architectural vision for large-scale projects particularly in their payment team.

Key skill set/experience required for API Solution Architect:

• High level design for ISO-20022 based APIs for payments.
• Reverse proxy (nginx).
• High level design for REST and SOA services.
• Synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
• Defining design best practice for developing idempotent services, resilient design for APIs (e.g. rate limiting, throttling, circuit breakers, automatic failover of Kubernetes services following availability zone outage).
• Proficiency in tools and methodologies for architecture development, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design practices.
• Kubernetes.
• Kafka.
• DNS (AWS Route53).
• AWS load balancer.
• Deep understanding of cloud services, including their advantages, limitations, and best practices for migration and integration.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, privacy standards, and testing methodologies to ensure the delivery of robust and secure solutions.
• Familiarity with agile ways of working and ceremonies is advantageous.

This is a hybrid role which requires you to attend the office x2 a week in either London, Bristol or Edinburgh.
