Senior Machine Learning Engineer - MedTech SME | Hybrid in Berlin | 3-4 stage process | €90-120k per annum

I am currently partnered with a leading MedTech company developing innovative solutions using cutting-edge machine learning (ML) technologies. They are seeking a talented and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the future of medical care.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust ML models for real-world medical applications.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure models meet clinical needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with large and complex medical datasets, ensuring data quality and adherence to data privacy regulations (GDPR).
  • Develop and implement machine learning pipelines following best practices and adhering to ISO quality standards.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate model performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on models.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in ML and actively research new applications within the medical field.
  • Document your work clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Machine Learning Engineer, MUST have experience working in MedTech or Healthcare.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying production-ready ML models.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning).
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, including data cleaning, pre-processing, and feature engineering.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and a strong understanding of the importance of data privacy in healthcare (GDPR).
  • Experience working with ISO quality standards in a development environment (a plus).
  • Excellent programming skills in Python (including libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
