My client is a leading developer of mobile and browser-based games located in the vibrant city of Berlin. The company is passionate about creating engaging and innovative gaming experiences for players around the world. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dedicated Junior System Administrator to support their IT infrastructure and ensure smooth operations.
Position: Junior System Administrator
Location: Berlin, Germany (2 days per week in-office)
Language Requirement: B2 level German proficiency (minimum)
Employment Type: Part-time (in-office presence required 2 days per week)
Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and monitoring the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.
- Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- System Updates: Install and configure software and hardware updates, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
- User Management: Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring appropriate access levels and security protocols.
- Backup and Recovery: Assist in implementing and maintaining data backup and recovery procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT processes, systems, and configurations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the senior IT team and other departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT security policies and protocols to safeguard company data and systems
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or relevant internships.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Language Proficiency: Minimum B2 level in German (speaking, reading, and writing).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
