Python has now risen to second place in the TIOBE index overtaking Java as the world's second most popular programming language. It’s been three decades since Python first appeared and it doesn't look as if it's going anywhere anytime soon. It's loved it for its simplicity, readability and English-like commands that make coding easier and quicker.
Python's surge in popularity has created a skills shortage. There are currently 3,134 roles live on ITJobsWatch that require the skill.
